Here are the car events for the first week and weekend of July. Even though there is no Champaign Cruisers Firecracker or Union County Fairground shows this year, there are still plenty of events scheduled for July 4th.
Last week there were several last-minute cancellations and location changes. I try to update the list as soon as I know about any changes, however, it's always a good idea to contact the organizers to confirm the event is still on before heading out.
News and Notes:

The second week of the Der Dutchman Cruise-In turned out to be a big one. More than 200 cars showed up for what turned out to be a beautiful Thursday evening weather-wise. Starting this week, I believe the restaurant is going to start selling ice cream and soft drinks at the cruise-in.
The inaugural Grace Chapel Wednesday Night Cruise-in attracted about 20 cars. Just like the Hilton Cruise-In last year, it was after 6 pm when the majority of cars arrived. Chad Schirtziner is working to get a food truck on the premises each week.

Two big events, Cruise the Ville and Vettes, Rods, And Classics at Creekside, were canceled last week. Fortunately, there were twice as many new events anounced. To see the most complete list of future Central Ohio shows and cruise-in, logon to the Save the Dates for 2020 page.
BREAKING NEWS: Dan "Boots" Longenette and Pepsi's Auto Smarts Radio have released their 2020 Cruise and Ride schedule. I will be adding these events to the Save the Dates page.

Anybody attend the Springfield Cars and parts swap meet the past weekend ??? Wonder what the crowds were like and the general "mood" of things.
Someone posted on FB that vendor participation was down compared to previous years.
I see. Ok...thanks. Doesn't surprise me.
If you are sending out your regular updates, would you be kind enough to update my e-mail below? I haven’t received anything from you since May and don’t want to miss a moment of cars.
Hi There. I grew up going to car shows and the drag races with my dad. So many great memories and where my my love of classic cars transpired! My dad is in a nursing home in Newark, OH that has been on lockdown for almost 6mos due to the risk of this pandemic. I’m trying to put together a drive-thru car show of some sort for my dad and the other 225 residence. They would love to see some old classic and muscle cars to make their day better and brighter. Let me know if u have any ideas where to send my info to try for this. Thanks in advance! Have a great evening!
Hi Vanessa, I would suggest that you create a flyer for your event with date, time, location and a description of the event. You can send the flyer here and I will post it as part of the weekly upcoming car events. If you're a Facebook user, I would recommend also sending it the Ohio Cars Shows and Cruise-In group. If you're not on Facebook, I would be happy to post it to the group for you.
