Upcoming Central Ohio Car Events for July 13 – 19

Here is this week's Central Ohio car events. There's a nice choice of events on tap for Saturday.

News and Notes:

BREAKING NEWS: The Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show and Cruise-In scheduled for August 20 -22 in Dublin, Ohio has been canceled. Read the details from Kevin Gadd.

I stopped by the Empty Pockets Good Time Cruise-In for a couple of hours on Saturday. I counted about 50 cars in attendance while I was there. The cruise-in provided a nice opportunity to touch base with some friends I hadn't seen since last fall. The Hilliard Memorial VFW provided food and drink to anyone interested in purchasing refreshments. It turned out to be great way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon.

The most intriguing vehicle at the cruise-in was this 4th generation Camaro convertible with a '69 front and rear end. The car was purchased at a Mecum auction

Der Dutchman was down about 100 cars from the previous two weeks because of the weather.

Ron Griffith (1950 Ford F1 pickup), Dan Fannin (1971 Chevy Chevelle), and Ron Graham (1974 Pontiac GTO) picked up awards at the July Creative Towing/Advanced Auto Parts show.

The Auto Smarts Radio Cruise & Ride Other Guys Car Show at Massey's Pizza in Heath, Ohio registered 117 cars on Sunday. Tom Stewart's orange Chevy pickup took the Best of Show award.

From what I hear, the AD Farrow/Rabid Customs Rods and Handle Bars Show in Sunbury, Ohio on Saturday evening had a packed house. Lots of cars and lots of bikes turned out for the event.

There weren't many changes this week to the Save the Dates for 2020 page. It still remains the most comprehensive list of future Central Ohio car events so check it out when you have a chance.

Welcome, Kim. Anything to help out...I know you have a huge job compiling and trying to keep up with events. How's the puppy ?

This year has been a tough year with events added and canceled at the last minute. Any help from the readership keeping the list up-to-date is always appreciated.

The puppy is your typical puppy. My wife and I just look at each other and ask ourselves what the heck have we done. She'll only be a puppy once so we're trying to enjoy it as much as we can although it gets tough sometimes.
