Promoting Central Ohio Car Shows, Cruise-ins, Meet-ups, and Motorcycle Events

The 40-degree morning temperatures didn’t stop several hundred cars and spectators from turning out for the final corporate Columbus Cars and Coffee meet of 2025. Held at the Heart of Ohio Classical Academy campus in Dublin, Ohio, the event featured a great mix of cars—from American classics to European exotics.
Porsches were out in force, rivaled by nearly as many BMWs. Hondas and Lexuses also had a strong showing, rounding out a diverse lineup that closed out the season with a classic split-window Corvette in attendance.
Here’s a look at some more standout cars from the final meet:
One of the biggest final events of the Central Ohio car show season is the Fall Miller’s Swap Meet and Car Show. Held at the Ross County Fairgrounds in Chillicothe, Ohio, the November 1st event marked the 18th annual edition of this popular combination swap meet and car show. This year’s car show registered 173 vehicles.
Award plaques were presented to the Top 20 vehicles from model years 1987 and older and the Top 20 from 1988 and newer. In addition to these forty Top 20 awards, there were 15 Special Awards and two Best of Show honors — one for 1987 and below and the other for 1988 and above.

The Empty Pockets Cruisers Car Club hosted its annual Trunk or Treat Car Show on Saturday at the Hilliard Presbyterian Church in Hilliard, Ohio. Each year, this event stands out as one of the premier Trunk or Treat shows in the area—and this year was no exception. Warm sunshine and above-average October temperatures helped draw a large crowd of participants and spectators, all in high Halloween spirits. The final registration count reached an impressive 115 vehicles.
All proceeds from the show benefited the Ronald McDonald House of Columbus. The big door prize this year—a flat-screen TV—was won by Shannon Williams. The 50/50 raffle winner took home $178.
At the end of the show, award plaques were presented to the Top 40 vehicles, along with special category awards for Best Kids Costume, Best Adult Costume, Best Decoration, Sponsor’s Choice, DJ’s Choice, Empty Pockets Choice, and Hilliard Presbyterian Church Choice. A Best Motorcycle award was also planned, but no motorcycles registered this year.

The Creative Auto Group and Advance Auto Parts in Marysville held their October car show on Friday, raising $65 for the Trinity Chapel Church food pantry.

The final show of the season will be held on Friday, November 7, which is the first Friday of November (instead of the usual second Friday).
The New Beginnings Assembly of God Church on Williams Road in Columbus, Ohio, hosted its 8th Annual BGMC Car Show on Saturday.
BGMC, which stands for Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge, supports missionaries around the world by providing essential resources. All proceeds from the event went toward BGMC. In addition to vehicle registration, the show also featured a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
This year’s event drew 59 registered vehicles. Trophies were awarded to the Top 40, along with special honors for Best Truck, Pastor’s Choice, Best Motorcycle, BGMC Choice, 3rd Place, 2nd Place, and Best of Show.
No motorcycles were registered this year, so the Special Award Winners were:

The Der Dutchman Cruise-in kicked off the season in the rain and, fittingly, wrapped it up the same way. The skies opened up around 3 PM Thursday and didn’t let up until after 6. Even so, about 139 cars showed up—quite the improvement over the 15 that braved the soggy first cruise-in of the year. The weather may have been a headache this season, but it was still a fun and successful five-month run. No doubt I—and probably a few other regulars—will go through a little Thursday night withdrawal until cruise-ins fire back up again next May.
The final Honda Marysville Motorsports Bike & Car Night Meetup of the season drew more cars than motorcycles this past Friday.
As always, attendees enjoyed complimentary food courtesy of the Triple P Barbecue food truck. This month’s raffle featured standout prizes, including two electric bicycles and a $100 gift card. One of the lucky winners was Tim Inscho, who walked away with both an electric bike and the gift card. All proceeds benefited Impact 60.
A little over 20 cars rolled into Arch Mayer’s Friday Night NAPA Cruise-In in Hilliard, Ohio. The evening wrapped up around 8 PM as the daylight faded, but not before plenty of great conversations and chrome-shining moments. Classic cars always look their best under the sun, but they still brought plenty of smiles as dusk settled in.

On Tuesday, the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Bellville, Ohio, wrapped up its cruise-in season with a strong showing of more than 60 cars. Our good friend, Tim Inscho, made the trip to Bellville and captured the event through his camera, sharing some great shots from the evening.
Traveling about 65 miles south two days later, the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Plain City, Ohio, welcomed an impressive 507 cars to its Thursday evening cruise-in. Of those, 21 were first-time participants.
Adding to the variety, an RV and camper rolled in—continuing the trend that began last week with the arrival of an Airstream camper. If this continues, Der Dutchman may have to invest in some RV hookups.
The most unique vehicle of the evening was a 1929 Graham Paige. At first, the Cadillac “V” emblem on its side seemed puzzling, even amusing. But the surprise was under the hood—the car was powered by an LS6 engine pulled from a 2004 Cadillac CTS-V. An unexpected pairing that definitely stood out.
The annual Coffee and Donuts Cruise-In rolled into the Plain City restaurant on Saturday morning, drawing approximately 130 cars. A steady line of attendees formed early, eager to grab a fresh donut and coffee—or another drink of choice—before checking out the cars.
This week’s Der Dutchman cruise-ins in Bellville and Plain City highlighted the enduring passion of Ohio’s car community.
The Creative Auto Group, in partnership with Advance Auto Parts in Marysville, Ohio, hosted its September car show with 17 cars on display, all set against the backdrop of a hot air balloon floating overhead.
The event raised $113 for the local food pantry, which was presented by Jeff Shankle to Gary and Keitha Simpson.
This month’s winners were Tim Inscho with his 1955 Chevy Bel Air, Tito Moore with a 1932 Ford five-window coupe, and Ray Leopard’s 1976 Olds Cutlass 442.

The weather couldn’t have been better for Thursday evening’s cruise-in, and it showed—332 vehicles turned out, including 10 first-timers.
As always, something unique rolls in each week. This week it was a 22-foot Airstream Safari camper, a true family heirloom that’s been passed down for 70 years across five generations.

Next week will feature two Der Dutchman Cruise-ins—the regular Thursday evening gathering and the always-popular annual Saturday morning Coffee and Donuts Cruise-in.
Only three more Thursday cruise-ins remain on the schedule—if you haven’t made it out yet, time is running out!
The Richwood Bank in Delaware, Ohio, wrapped up its Coffee and Cars Cruise-In season on Saturday.
Around 20 cars came out for the finale, including a rarely seen AMC Eagle.
Door prizes this month featured a Schumacher 800 Amp Lithium-Ion Jump Starter and Power Pack, a bucket of car care products, and a bottle of Royal Crown Peach Flavored Whiskey paired with barbecue grill utensils.
The monthly Coffee and Cars Cruise-In, held on the first Saturday of each month, will return next May.

For the second week in a row, the Thursday forecast completely missed the mark. On Tuesday, the outlook promised sunshine and temperatures in the 70s. The prediction looked so good that Wayne Nisely, who manages the cruise-in, sent out an email early in the week touting the “perfect” weather and even reserving a prize for the 500th car to attend.
But the day had other plans. Rain and blustery winds rolled in around 1 PM Thursday and didn’t let up until after 4 PM—so much for 500 cars. Even so, 113 cruisers still made the trip, including five first-timers who stopped by despite the soggy conditions.
Honda Marysville Motorsports hosted its August Bike & Car Night on Friday evening, once again treating attendees to delicious food and refreshments from the Triple P Barbecue food truck.
This month’s raffle saw three lucky winners take home prizes, including two mystery totes and a brand-new Honda push mower. Our friend Nick Mathews was one of the winners, scoring a tote packed with a motorcycle helmet, jacket, pants, and gloves—gear worth several hundred dollars!
It was the perfect mix of great weather, tasty food, and plenty of horsepower to cap off another fantastic evening at Honda Marysville Motorsports.
The Zucchinifest Car and Motorcycle Show rolled into Fortress Obetz on Friday evening, drawing a strong turnout of enthusiasts and spectators alike. A total of 214 cars and motorcycles filled the show field, showcasing everything from classic muscle and custom builds to modern performance machines.
Two standout awards highlighted the night’s competition. Dale Pearce earned Best Corvette honors with his beautifully presented 1967 Stingray, while Jeff Ward took home the prestigious Honor Flight Pick for his sharp 2002 lowered S-10 pickup.
Ryan Gebhart's 1971 Chevy Chevelle received the Best of Show honors.
Bryan Mauger captured some of the fantastic rides on display, giving participants and fans alike a lasting glimpse of the show’s highlights.
With a diverse lineup, great weather, and a festive atmosphere, the Zucchinifest show once again proved to be a crowd favorite and a highlight of the late-summer car season.

Attendance was down just a touch from last week, but the 263 cars that rolled into Thursday evening’s cruise-in still brought plenty of variety and energy. Among them were 7 first-timers.
One of my favorite moments was having a 1959 Porsche park right next to my 2024 Porsche — a striking side-by-side of classic curves and modern lines.
Pete Lieb pulled in with his beautifully kept 1962 Dodge Dart station wagon, a time capsule on wheels.
And while there were plenty of head-turners, my pick for “most unique” of the night went to a 1995 Toyota Supra — a rare sight and a true crowd-stopper.
From vintage gems to modern marvels, it was another Thursday evening well spent with fellow car enthusiasts.
The Friday Night Uptown Founders Car Show returned to Marysville, Ohio on Friday evening under a new name — the Uptown Classics Auto Show. Registrations were open to vehicles 2001 and older.
Main Street was packed with people, making it difficult to move from one end to the other.
The awards ceremony wrapped up earlier than scheduled, with Best of Show going to Jeff Irwin for his 1963 Corvette Grand Sport.
No official car count was announced, but the turnout appeared to be around 100 cars.

The Mound City Little League field in Newark, Ohio, was the site of the Charlie Baker Mound City Under the Lights Car Show on Friday evening. The event drew about 70 cars.
Hi-Way Starz members Mike Marcum, Joe Estes, Justin Seymour, Dave O’Brien, and Bobby Pig all drove home with awards, while Jeff Tolley’s 1959 Chevy Biscayne earned the coveted Ed’s Sleds Pick.

Attendance was back up Thursday evening at the restaurant’s weekly cruise-in, with 313 cars on display—25 of them making their first appearance.
Among the first-timers was Gene Flaugher, who rolled in behind the wheel of his stunning 1956 custom Pontiac Safari. His journey? A cool 76 miles one way from New Lebanon, Ohio—west of Dayton. When people are driving that far, you know this cruise-in’s reputation is shifting into high gear and reaching well beyond Central Ohio!
