NEWS AND NOTES
Artomotive Grand Opening and Car Show:
Artomotive is a vehicle restoration, modification, custom fabrication, body repair, and painting shop located in Radnor, Ohio.
On Saturday, the company held an open house and car show to celebrate its new shop location in Radnor. The celebration included food and a DJ. There were more than 50 cars were in attendance.
Here are some of the cars that attended the open house.
Empty Pocket Cruisers Trunk or Treat:
The Empty Pocket Cruisers Car Club hosted its 11th annual Trunk or Treat Show at the Hilliard Presbyterian Church on Saturday.
It's always a favorite show of mine and maybe one of the best trunk-or-treat shows in Central Ohio. From people decorating their cars to wearing costumes to giving out candy, the show always seems to get everyone who attends into the Halloween spirit.

Saturday's attendance reached 120 cars.
As it does every year, the Empty Pockets Cruisers had awards for best costumes, the "Favorite" 40 cars, Best Decorated Car, DJ's Pick, Sponsors's Choice, and Club Pick.

The Empty Pocket's Club Pick this year went to Bob Kirst and his 1995 Camaro. Bob's Camaro was a custom build for the 1995 SEMA Show.

The Sponsor's Choice went to Jim and Kathy Loftus and their 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

Here are more cars from the show:
The Point on Main (All About The Trophy) Car Show:
Shaun "Big Dawg" Sanders and the C-Town Cruisers hosted its annual "All About The Trophy" Car Show on Saturday at the Point on Main Sports Bar & Grill.
This is the only show The C-Town Cruisers host during the season that there is no judging. Anyone who registers can pick out their trophy. If you have some trophies you no longer want, the C-Town Cruisers will gladly take them off your hands.
This is also an appreciation show with Cruiser and Co-Cruiser of the Year awards and Just Because.
About 75 cars stopped by on Saturday. 30 or so stuck around to the very end.
Powell Cruize-In & Pig Out:
The 32nd Annual Powell Cruise-In & Pig Out occurred on Sunday in downtown Powell, Ohio. The show was originally scheduled for August 18th but was postponed to October 13th because of weather. The City of Powell requested the show be postponed a second time to October 20th.

As we all know, the weather this time of year can be hit or miss. But Sunday's weather was about as perfect as you could ask for and brought out a lot of beautiful rides.
The final registration was 154 vehicles.
There were award plaques for the Top 50 and trophies for 12 "Special Categories" and a Best of Show.

Here are the "Special Category" Winners:

1969 Chevy Camaro - Owner: Alex Dorsey

1957 Porsche Speedster - Owner: Judi Myers

Crossroads Events Car, Truck, & Bike Shows at Steak 'n Shake and Eldorado's:
Frank Russell and the Crossroads Events team hosted two shows this past weekend.
On Saturday they were at the Steak 'n Shake in Newark, Ohio. This show was a benefit to Screening and Survivor Support for Breast Cancer in Licking County.
The Veteran Owned Vehicle Award went to Bill Justice and his 1986 Porsche 994.

The 2008 Ford Mustang GT of Charles Baker took home the Best in Show honors.

On Sunday, the team traveled to Eldorado's Food & Spirits in Columbus, Ohio.
Frank was a little under the weather so Lynn, Larry, and Brandon took over the reins and did a fine job in Frank's absence.
John Howell's 2016 Chevy Chrome Stingray received the Veteran Owned Vehicle Award.

Another Studebaker Commander received a top award. This one a 1939 belonging to Denny Keen was selected Best in Show.

This weekend the Crossroads team will be hosting two shows in Newark. Saturday they will be at the Earthworks Cafe at Newark Station and Sunday they will host a special show at the Mound City Little League ball field.
Urbana Cruisers Trunk or Treat Spooktacular:
I have to apologize. I missed listing this show last week.
Despite not being on the list, the show had 80 cruisers in attendance. All the money raised from the show was donated to Don Sparks whose YouTube channel goes by the name Go4Rider. Don travels all over the area making YouTube videos from the car shows he attends. All of it at his own expense.

There were no award trophies, however, our good friend "Bad" Chad Herrick received a bucket of car care products for the Best Decorated Ride.

Here are some of the other rides from the show that competed for Best Decoration
The last show to report on this week was in Middletown, Ohio. Chad Herrick made the drive over Saturday evening to participate in the Middletown Cruise Trunk or Treat Show.
The show is billed as the largest Trunk or Treat Show in Ohio and this year was no exception with 400 cars registered. 75 trophies were awarded at the end of the show. Chad's 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona 392 went home with a Top 50 Award. Congrats, Chad!

Next week I will be posting the list of Central Ohio car events for the entire month of November. There are about nine shows left after this week not counting the weekly cars and coffee.
I want to thank the following folks who contributed content this week.
- Bryan Mauger
- Frank Russell
- Russ Annis
- Chad Herrick
- Jim Sradeja
I can't say enough how much I appreciate the help the Central Ohio car community provides in putting together these reports each week. I couldn't do it without the community's help.
Stay safe out there. I hope to see you at a future car show or cruise-in.
