NEWS AND NOTES
Creative Auto Group/Advanced Auto Parts Car Show:
Twenty-one cars on Friday attended this month's Creative Auto Group/Advanced Auto Parts Car Show in Marysville, Ohio.

The show raised $150 for the local food pantry.

The season's final Creative Auto Group/Advanced Auto Parts show for this year is tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 1st. Jeff Shankle is planning to head to Florida in the next week or so to help with cleanup from Hurricane Milton. Whether or not that show takes place will depend on Jeff's return from Florida. I will keep you posted.

This was my first BGMC Car Show. It's up there as one of my favorite shows this year. It was well organized with a nice selection of awards. The nice weather and beautiful rides were a big plus also.

The big surprise of the afternoon was the Best in Show pick. Just as I was getting ready to follow the Best in Show winner back to their vehicle to take some photos, Frank announced that my 2021 Corvette Stingray had been selected by the Manager of Wings & Rings as Best in Show. What a shocker! I didn't even have to ask the winner if they had heard of carshowtalk.com. Thank goodness Lynn Russell and Doug Glassburn stepped up to take some photos of me with my car. I wasn't sure how I was going to take a selfie of me and my car together. It was quite the honor and surprise to receive the award.

Next weekend Frank and the Crossroads team will be at Steak 'n Shake in Newark, Ohio on Saturday and Eldorado's in Columbus on Sunday.
The last Crossroads Events show of season will be November 10th at the Wings & Rings in Lewis Center. Frank plans to present a "Car of the Year" Award picked from all the Best in Show winners this season. If you were a Best in Show winner at one of the Crossroads shows, Frank is requesting you and your car's presence at the November 10th show. Fingers crossed for decent weather.
Other Shows:
- The Trunk or Treat Auto Show at the London, Ohio Walmart had 38 cars in attendance on Saturday. The Best of Show Award went to Eric Sams and his 1962 Pontiac Bonneville.

The event had to be rescheduled to October 13th thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Helene. 139 cars pre-registered for the event with 50-75 more Fords showing up the day of the show. Chris Kraner and Bob Roush were kind enough to share photos they took from the event.

I can't say enough how much I appreciate the help the Central Ohio car community provides in putting together these reports each week. I couldn't do it without the community's help.
Stay safe out there. I hope to see you at a future car show or cruise-in.
