NEWS AND NOTES
The weather this weekend was the exact opposite of last weekend. It was perfect car show weather and contributed to strong attendance at many events.
The Der Dutchman Cruise-In is 0 for 2 to start the season. Even though the weather was good on Thursday, the fields were soggy and covered in grass clippings from being mowed that morning. Wayne Nisly made the wise decision to cancel the cruise-in.
Marion K9 Project Car Show:
McDaniel Chevrolet in Marion, Ohio, was the site of the 3rd Annual Marion K9 Project Car Show on Saturday afternoon. The show registered 96 cars, with a handful of others participating without registering.

The lot next to the dealership was used to create a large area for craft tables and six to seven food trucks.

Twenty-five awards were presented at the end of the show.

Dave Bratton’s 1937 Ford Convertible received the "Top Dog" Award (also known as Best of Show). The award was a plastic dog.

Here’s a sample of some of the cars that were at the event.
The only negative thing I heard about the show is that they didn’t announce the year, make, and model of the vehicle receiving an award—only the number and name of the owner.
Carroll Lions Car Show:
With the help of "Big Dawg" and the C-Town Cruisers, The Carroll Lions hosted It's annual car show in downtown, Carroll, Ohio, on Saturday. The show had a 105 cars in attendance.

There were awards for the Top 25, as well as a Best of Show.
Jeff Tolley’s 1959 Chevy Biscayne received one of the Top 25 awards.

The Best of Show award went to Doug Glassburn’s 1972 Chevy C-10 Stepside.

Here are more cars from the show:
Columbus Cars and Coffee at Esoteric:
Columbus Cars and Coffee held its second meet of the season at Esoteric Fine Auto Finishing in New Albany, Ohio.
As usual, the nice weather drew a large crowd of participants and spectators to the event. There were lots of Porsches, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis on display. In addition to the cars, there were paint protection film demonstrations, and for the first time, Esoteric opened its detail studio to the public.
Check out some of the cars and scenery from Saturday’s meet!
That’s all for this week’s report. If you have any information from other shows—especially the Spring Fling All-Corvette Show that took place on Saturday—please feel free to share it in the comments section.
Special thanks to Dale Pearce, Jeff Tolley, Dave Bratton, and Bryan Mauger for contributing their photos and videos to this report.
Until next week, stay safe out there.

Hi Kim,
The Inn at Olentangy Trail is asking if September is too late to have their car show this year. Not sure why they are looking at September, but they just seem to be looking for advice. I trust your opinion so please let me know and I will forward it to them.
Thanks, -Tom
September is a good month to have a car show. It tends to have less rain than other months and temperatures start to cool off. I assume they want to do a weekday as before. Only downside to that is it starts to get dark earlier. If it's later in the month it will be dark by 7:30 - 8:00 PM.
If they decide on September, my only caution would be not to schedule the show on a Thursday because it will compete with Der Dutchman. A Tuesday or Wednesday will be a better choice.
