I only attended one show this weekend. I had plans to participate in the Jim Hamilton show on Saturday but my father was rushed to the hospital with chest pains and shortness of breath early Saturday morning. I spent most of day at the hospital with him. Thanks to friends, I have a bunch of photos from the Hamilton show.

Creative Towing/Advanced Auto Parts

The Creative Towing/Advanced Auto Parts show Friday evening was my one and only show of the weekend.

This was the second show of the season for the monthly event that takes place at the Advance Auto Parts store in Marysville, Ohio. This month's show registered 21 vehicles.

Five members of the Rod Knockers Club of Marion, Ohio made the drive from Marion to attend the show.

Because of Mother's Day, I could only find one car show for Sunday. The Facebook post for this show only has information about time and location. If you're interested in going, I would recommend giving Chazziz DJ Service a call (937-218-2290) before making the trip down I-71.
Update: I was sent info about a second car show scheduled on Sunday in Springfield, Ohio.

The first Der Dutchman cruise-in is two weeks away. I received the following email from Wayne Nisly asking for help spreading the word on several matters associated with the cruise-in. Here's Wayne's email:

Hi Kim,

Could you help me spread the word on two matters, please?

Two things:

For our first Cruise In this year, May 23, we are doing a little memorial for Carry Davis. I have planted a tree in his memory; the tree is by the building where we serve the Cruise In food. Also, for that evening, I have a gift for the first 200 who bring a car.

Second; Paul Wightman had a stroke and is in intensive care and on a ventilator.

Thanks, I hope to see you soon

Wayne Nisly

Despite a forecast of rain and storms, I managed to make it to three events over the weekend, one as a spectator and two as a participant. Best of all, not one drop of rain fell on my head.

Wholly Joe's Summer Cruise Nights

I started the weekend with a visit to Lewis Center, Ohio on Thursday evening for week two of Wholly Joe's Summer Cruise Nights.More than thirty cars showed up during the hour I was there. Because of the limited parking, the cruise-in is reserved for vehicles 25 years and older.

One of the vehicles to show up this week was this awesome Chevrolet Thriftmaster pick up. The truck was absolutely pristine!
