Esoteric Fine Auto Finishing and the Mid-Ohio Region of the Porsche Club of America teamed up this weekend to host the second annual detailing tech session at the Esoteric facility.
A good crowd was on hand for the session despite the cold temperatures and magnesium chloride all over the roads. Many Porsche owners ignored the less than ideal road conditions and drove their cars to the session.

Last August, the Vintage Auto Club of Delaware announced that last summer's Blast from the Past would be the last show the club would host.
The show began in 1993 and had been an annual event since. It reached its peak in 2015 with 750 registered cars. The show drew thousands of visitors to downtown Delaware and had a big economic impact on local businesses.
Shortly after the Vintage Auto Club made the announcement, Delaware city officials began looking for someone else to take over the show. At the end of September, city officials received a nice surprise when Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Delaware stepped in and offered to continue the show.
The show has been renamed the "Performance Classic Car Show". It will be held this year on August 26th instead of the last Saturday in July which had been the traditional date for the Blast from the Past.
It's great news that an event the size and tradition of the Blast from the Past will continue under new leadership. For more information on the show, check out the Performance Classic Car Show website.
My wife and I attended the Summit Racing Equipment Hot Rod & Custom Car show on Friday evening -- the first day of the event. I picked her up from work around 4:25 pm and we headed straight to the show. Little did we know the Columbus Blue Jackets had a home hockey game with their divisional rival, Pittsburgh Penquins, that evening. Traffic in and around the Greater Columbus Convention Center was extremely congested with people coming in for the game. Next year, I will definitely check the Blue Jacket's schedule before heading for the show.
We decided to park in the garage on the north side of the convention center. The walk way from the garage to the convention center was closed because of construction. This forced us to head out towards High Street. Fortunately, it was an unusually mild February day. Needless to say, getting to the show turned out to be a bit of an adventure. Read more

Reaching dealer's showrooms in September of 1966, the 1967 Camaro was Chevrolet's response to the wildly successful Ford Mustang.
Based on GM's new F-body platform, the first generation Camaro was built from 1967 through the 1969 model years at assembly plants in Norwood, Ohio and Van Nuys, California. Available as a 2-door hardtop or convertible, the car offered the choice of a six-cylinder or V8 power plant. Read more
I admit I'm a neophyte when it comes to restoring a classic vehicle. If you read the "About" page on this site, you'll see that my interest and expertise lies in late model "performance" cars. Read more
I just found out that Esoteric Auto Detail posted a "walk around" video of my ZL1 to YouTube. Enjoy!
I picked up my Camaro this afternoon from the detailer. It's now safely parked in my garage.
All I can say is wow! The car looks fantastic! Now the hard part begins trying to maintain this pristine finish.
I took a few photos outside the detailer's shop before heading home.
