As I diligently work on the initial version of the "Save the Dates 2020" post, I want to take a few minutes to make a couple of quick announcements that I think will be of interest to everyone.
- NASCAR driver and Naval Reserve Officer Lieutenant Commander Jesse Iwuji will speak at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, from 6-8:00 pm. Iwuji will share the lessons he has learned through his service in the U.S. Navy and how they have influenced his NASCAR career. For more information about the event, Click here.
- Not long after this website went online, a Classified Ad section for buying and selling autos, auto parts, and services was added. I have to admit, I've been a little surprised at the lack of activity in this section. I don't know if people are unaware of the service or they're just not interested. But before I take it down, I thought I give it one more pitch. You can find the link to the Classified Ads on the navigation banner on every page of this site.
Any ad you place will be active for 90 days. At the end of the 90 days, you have the option to renew the ad for another 90 days. Photos can be uploaded if desired. The only restrictions are that ads must be approved by me before becoming active and must be for automobile-related items or services. Please, no furniture, appliances or things having nothing to do with automobiles. Best of all the Classified Ad service is absolutely "FREE" for everyone! During the car show season, this website will get between 2000-2500 unique visits per week so you have a pretty good audience. If you have something auto-related you want to buy or sell, take advantage of the Classified Ad section. What have you got to lose, it's FREE?
Is there a way to increase the picture resolution requirement in the ad section? I don't know any device that can take a picture with a 1mb resolution.
Thanks
Hi Angel, I have increase the image file size to 5 megabytes. I think that should allow the upload of the major of photos. If 5 megabytes is still too low, I can increase. I also adjusted the maximum image dimensions to 1024 x 768 pixels. Let me know if you run into any other issues.
