I wasn't able to do any "judged" shows this weekend because of family committments. However, I did manage to hear from a friend who attended the 79th Annual Memorial Day Fish Fry & Car show in Lithopolis, Ohio that was hosted by the C-Town Cruisers.
The show had 172 vehicles register for the event. This was most ever in the show's 79 year history.
I contacted Shaun "Big Dawg" Sanders, president of C-Town Cruisers, to see if he had any photos from the event. He replied that things were going so quickly he didn't have time to write anything down. With 172 cars and trucks, I can imagine the day was a bit hectic.
With that said, here's what my friend was able to report:
The show gave out 44 awards, a Best of Show, Mayor's Choice, and the rest were class "Favorites".
A 1947 Plymouth DeSoto received Best of Show, and Mayor's Choice went to a 1967 Corvette.
If you attended the show and took any photos, please feel free to send them to hawk02@carshowtalk.com. I'd love to post them to the website.
UPDATE:
Don Splitstone has posted photos from the show.
