Hardtop Convertible Featured at Mid-Engine Corvette Reveal Tour

The mid-engine Corvette Reveal Tour at Chesrown Chevrolet-Buick-GMC in Delaware, Ohio featured the all-new hardtop convertible.

A steady crowd of Central Ohio car enthusiasts got a chance to touch, feel, sit in and ask questions about the new C8 Corvette.

Even yours truly got the opportunity to set his rear end in the car for a few moments.

The hardtop convertible is a first for Corvette. Powered by six electric motors, the top goes up and down in just 16 seconds. Raising and lowering the top can be accomplished while the car is moving at speeds up to 30 mph.

The model brought to the reveal included the Z51 performance package and the 3LT trim level.

Whether you're a Corvette fan or not, I think everyone will agree the engineering involved in redesigning the Corvette with the engine behind the driver and passenger is quite an accomplishment. And to do it at the advertised price points will have a profound impact on the sports car market for years to come.

I'm going to finish out this post with a few more photos from the reveal. Many thanks to the team at Chesrown for arranging the event. It was great to finally see the new Corvette in person.
