Central Ohio Car Shows, Meet-ups, and Swap Meets for November 2022

1963 Ford Falcon - Owner: Brian Z.

The 2022 car show season comes to an end this month as we start to approach those wonderful winter months in Ohio. That's a joke.

I'm posting the entire month of November's events since it isn't a big list. Everything will be pretty much over after November 12 except for Columbus Cars and Coffee at the City which goes through the winter weather permitting and the Ohio Ford Expo Super Swap.

On Saturday, the American Postal Workers Union Local 232 hosted a Trunk or Treat car show at its union hall in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Proceeds from the show went to benefit the Firefighter Christmas Toy Drive.

The show registered 39 cars. Awards were presented to the Top 25, Rick's Pick (aka Best of Show), and Favorite Bike trophy.

The Favorite Bike award went to Corey Holmes with a 2016 Harley Davidson. Don Marcum and his 1956 Ford Victoria received Rick's Pick.

Street Kingz Fall Fling

The Street Kingz Car Club hosted its very first Fall Fling Car Show on Sunday behind the Cold Stone Creamery on Polaris Parkway in Columbus, Ohio. Proceeds from the show went to help cover some of the medical expenses for club member Dan Fancelli.

Along with registration, there were door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction to raise money for Dan. The silent auction included dyno pulls, wine baskets, car care products, and concert tickets just to mention a few.

The show registered 40 cars. There was a nice mix of classic and late-model cars. Awards were presented to the Top 25 plus Best Decorated, Kid's Choice, and Best of Show.

The Best Decorated and Kid's Choice awards went to Chad Herrick and his 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona 392.

Steve Kidwell and Nancy took the Best of Show honors with their 1965 Pontiac GTO.

American Legion Canteen Southway Post 144 Annual Trunk or Treat Car Show

Shaun "Big Dawg" Sanders and the C-Town Cruisers hosted its second trunk or treat show of the weekend at the American Legion Canteen Southway Post 144 in South Columbus on Sunday.

The show had 55 cars in attendance. Here are the Best Costume winners and a few other ghouls and goblins:

Other Area Shows

  • Pap's 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat Car Show in Springfield, Ohio had almost 200 cars in attendance on Saturday.
  • The corporate-sponsored Columbus Cars and Coffee held its final meet of the season at the Midwestern Auto Group (MAG) dealership in Dublin, Ohio on Saturday morning. Two sources have confirmed that attendance was somewhere in the range of 300 to 400 cars. The event always attracts a large assortment of exotic cars.

That's it for this week. Weather permitting, I plan to do three more shows before finally putting a lid on the 2022 car show season. Look for a report from those shows on November 14. My final thoughts on the 2022 season will appear sometime before Thanksgiving if all goes well.

A big thanks to Jeff Shankle and Dave Bratton for their help with this week's News and Notes.
