NEWS AND NOTES

The dangerously hot temperatures keep a lot of cruisers home during this past week. Der Dutchman only had 66 cars in attendance at its cruise-in on Thursday when the daytime high was in the mid 90s.

Dad's Day Car Show:

The weather finally began to cool down just in time for the Dad's Day Car Show in Russells Point, Ohio on Friday Evening. The show had more than 150 vehicles in attendance.

Empty Pockets Bryan Lewis Memorial Car Show:

The Empty Pockets Cruisers Car Club hosted the Bryan Lewis Memorial Car Show on Saturday at the CPT Nicholas J. Rozanski Memorial Post 4931 in Columbus. The show was in honor of Bryan Lewis, a long time club member, who passed away in December 2021.

With temperatures in the low 70's and lots of sunshine, the show registered 166 cars.

For the fourth weekend in a row, John Nuckles and his 1940 Ford Woody pickup, received the Best of Show honors.

Earth Angel Foundation Super Cruise-In:

The Earth Angel Foundation held its 35th annual Super Cruise-In Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster, Ohio on Saturday.

The event registered over 400 cars. Awards included 80 three-foot trophies and a six-foot Best of Show.

Dale Pearce and Tom Stewart received two of the 80 three-foot trophies for their pickup trucks.

The Best of Show award went to Jerry Davis and his 1933 Plymouth.

Other Shows:

  • The Grace Chapel Car Show in Westerville, Ohio registered around 40 cars on Saturday.
  • The Ist Annual Time Howell Car Show in Urbana, Ohio had about 50 cars in attendance. Several members from the Chosen Few Corvette Club participated in the show.
  • The Mid Ohio Cruisers Car Club registered 75 cars Saturday evening at the Burger King in Marysville, Ohio. Our good friend, Tim Inscho and his 1968 Chevy Camaro, picked up one of the 15 "Club Favorite" awards.
  • Cruis'in O'Reilly Auto Parts 2022 at the Harriburg Pike store in Columbus registered 58 cars on Sunday
