NEWS AND NOTES
I know I sound like a broken record when I have to write how much the weather has hampered car events each week. Friday saw two events canceled and Saturday there were two events postponed thanks to the rain. The weather these past two weeks in Central Ohio has really stunk!
Der Dutchman Cruise-In:
The rain didn't stop 55 cars from turning out for the first cruise-in of the season at the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Plain City, Ohio.

Crouse Chapel UMC Car Show:
Thanks to the weather only 25 cars attended the Crouse Chapel United Methodist Church Car Show in Chillicothe, Ohio on Saturday.
Loy Oberer and his 1955 Ford pickup with 383 stroker received the Best of Show award.

Rod Knockers May Car Show:
There was finally a break from the rain Saturday evening just in time for the Rod Knockers Car Club's May Show at the Rural King in Marion, Ohio.
The club registered 66 vehicles but had closer to 75 in attendance. Not bad considering it wasn't exactly balmy Saturday evening.

The Community Bank Car Show:
With Sunday being Mother's Day, there wasn't much on the schedule. Leave it to some of our fellow cruisers to find a show at the Community Bank in Zanesville. Our good friend, Dale Pearce, received the Community Bank Choice award for his 1950 Chevy 3100 pickup.

Once again special thanks to Jeff Shankle and Dale Pearce for their contribution to this week's report.
