NEWS AND NOTES:
It was crazy April weather in Ohio this past week. At the Plain City Tuesday Evening Cruise, temperatures were in the 40s with wind chills in the 30s.
By Saturday they had warmed into the 80s.
Friday Gathering at Sonic:
The Sonic Drive-In in Heath, Ohio had almost 40 cars turn out this week for their Friday Gathering.
Columbus Cars & Coffee:
The two Columbus Cars & Coffee groups held simultaneous meets on Saturday morning. The one held their weekly Saturday morning affair at the City Apartments on Olentangy River Rd in Columbus while the other held their first meet of the season at the Midwest Auto Group (MAG) dealership in Dublin, Ohio. Both groups had a packed house thanks to the nice weather.

Flavor 91 Bistro Car, Truck and Bike Show:
Shaun ”Big Dawg” Sanders and the C-Town Cruisers hosted their first car show of the season on Saturday at the Flavor 91 Bistro on East Main Street in Columbus, Ohio.
The show registered 90 cars. There were trophies for the Top 25 along with Best Truck, Best Bike, and Best of Show.
The Best Truck award went to Charlie Benson with a 1950 Chevy pickup. Jeff Potts and his 2013 Harley Davidson Street Glide took the Best Bike honors. The Best of Show award went to the 1970 Ford Torino GT belonging to Chris Kraner.

Toy Barn Spring Car Show:
Sunday morning the Toy Barn in Dublin, Ohio held their spring car show. The dealership pre-registered 270 vehicles for the event. Thanks to the nice weather, the show drew a huge crowd of spectators.
Someone, I won’t name names, used the event to polish his car. Boots from Auto Smarts Radio provided expert supervision.

The big event this weekend was the sold out Import Face-Off at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio. I don’t own an import nor do any of my friends so, unfortunately, I don’t have anything to report. I would really like to hear from anyone who attended the event. Hello, Kim. If you are able to add a comment about the Spring Fling Car Show Saturday, April 30th, ( at The Golden Hobby Shop ) would you please add this. There is a Ohio Health Marathon going on in the morning that SAME day and SAME time just a few blocks away from the show site. Participants will need to look at the Marathon map and plan their route accordingly. There is information about this on the Facebook page for The Golden Hobby Shop,( discussion ) but nowhere else. Just want to give people a heads up. Thank you and sorry if I am being nosey or too forward !! Do whatever you feel is appropriate. Clement
