Central Ohio Car Events for April 22 – 25, 2021

Unless some events are announced this week, it's an unusually light schedule for the last weekend of April. I've included a few events that would normally be considered outside of the Central Ohio area just because the schedule is so light. There really isn't much in the way of car events throughout the entire state this weekend. Weird?

Der Dutchman is hosting a pre-cruise-in dinner at the restaurant on Thursday (see link below) so everyone can get reacquainted with each other after the winter layoff.

NEWS AND NOTES:

The weather wasn't quite as cooperative Saturday evening as everyone had hoped for. Folks attending Cruisin' with the King in Marysville and the First Delaware Cruise Night had to dodge some rain showers throughout the evening. Despite the rain, the Delaware Cruise Night raised $200 for the Humane Society of Delaware County.

The Ninja Xpress Car Meet in Lewis Center was a rather laid-back affair Saturday afternoon. I counted between 25-30 cars during the hour I was there. Most were late model cars.

Dan "Boots" Longenette and the Pepsi Auto Smarts Cruise and Ride gang held their first show of the season on Saturday at the Sandalwood Boulevard Elks Club in Columbus. The Best of Show award went to Chris Kraner with a 1970 Ford Torino GT.

Big Dawg and the C-Town Cruisers hosted their Spring Warm-up Car Meet at the American Legion Southway Post in South Columbus on Sunday. The meet registered more than 80 cars. All proceeds went to the American Legion post. Stacy Longenette and her 1948 Chevy Thriftmaster pickup took Best of Meet honors.

Be aware though that a friend who was going to enter said they were only going to have around 30% of the cars in place so it will be "spaced out" more. When he found that out he pulled his registration. I'm pretty sure there is no discount on admission. LOL Just wanted people to be aware. They have cancelled a lot of there shows in the future including the Detroit Autorama. I'll make no comment on how I feel about this stuff.
